Camera works as described. sadly videos won't be saved mechanically to library unless you've got a subscription. You can't use previous power cords ( to possess constant power for charging) as a result of finish won't plug into camera. got to get one for essential spotlight only! 

I actually have power cords for arlo professional two. additionally skins used on ar lo pro 2 won't fit, this camera is simply a touch too big. one amongst my pro 2 cameras ( currently four yrs old) wasn't operating properly so I bought the essential spotlight. 

Didn't wish to pay quite I had to. Ar lo has modified several things that created these cameras desirable. Cameras work as delineated that is nice however new merchandise need a lot of add ons that can't be interchangeable with existing cameras.

 

 

 I'm really amazed. I bought the Or bi 4g LTE wireless WiFi modem router and compared the Or bi to 4 Ar-lo Essential security cameras. It should work right? I had never done anything like this. For many of these electronic combinations I've theorized about in the past, I assumed it wouldn't work either.

I spoke to various advisors: Or bi engineers, Ar-lo community contributors. Everyone said it should work. And it worked! Unbelievable! The Or bi LBR20 was a  challenge.The Obi app was choppy...sometimes it worked, sometimes it got stuck. 

The password used to set up my Or bi (Net gear) account  was not the same as the password needed to enable the Or bi modem router to connect to the internet; The Or bi password is printed on the label on the bottom of the Or bi device... oh, the password. 

Pure Talk (actually AT&T) said they had a cover for my zip code in the barn but couldn't guarantee the sim would work with the Or bi LBR20...not quite the  confidence booster  I needed.  Ok.. .as brave as I am I bought the Pure Talk Sim card and a 6 gig data plan. 

After everything arrived, the first thing I  tried was to connect the Or bi wireless modem router to the internet using the Or bi app according to the instructions.Nothing automatic here. After several attempts, the Or bi app requested my ISP's APN number. What is an APN to shout out loud? 

I googled "Pure Talk APN" and found "RESELLER". I entered "RESELLER...", then my Pure Talk phone number as the only user ID I know, and then my Pure Talk password.No contact or internet. Frustration! 

The next day I called Pure Talk and asked for the APN number, user id and password. After the transfer via 4 different support partners, I received the information (APN = RESELLER, User ID = not yet configured, Password = not yet configured). 

So I typed "RESELLER" and nothing else (no use-rid or password)success! Internet access! Oh, so in this case you don't need a password! But...now I was  connected to the internet via an Or bi 4g LTE wireless modem router...no cable.Once I received the correct APN and password, Or bi activated as promised.

 

 The next step was to see if the Ar-lo Essential WiFi cameras would connect to the Or bi LBR20 and then connect to the Internet. The Ar-lo app was needed to activate the cameras. The Ar-lo app worked more reliably and consistently than the Or bi app. One by one, each of the Ar-lo Essential cameras activated. I could see my home office on each of the cameras. 

Amazing!!! What vanity looking at myself on all four cameras!!! Still, this was at home … and not 25 miles away … in the middle of nowhere. To be safe … I purchased two antennas to attach to the Or bi (not provided in the Or bi box), just in case the Or bi needed the extra help in capturing the wireless signal in the rural Midwest. 

The Or bi had no problem at home. Every WiFi device in the house wanted to connect to the Or bi … I had to resist. But would the same happen at the barn?

I unplugged everything and transported the Or bi and the Ar-lo Essential cameras to the barn. Located the Or bi 14 feet above ground. Plugged it in. Immediate Internet connection!!! You’ve got to be kidding!!! Installed the Ar-lo cameras. 

Each of the cameras … one by one … immediately linked to the Or bi … just like at home. You’ve got to be kidding!! Now … 25 miles away with no cable … I have the views as shown below.

There are still questions. The jury is still out. What will the battery life be for each of the cameras be? I fully charged the cameras yesterday; today they are at 92-94 %, though was experimenting with features a lot yesterday. 

The WiFi signal from the Or bi to the Ar-lo cameras appears strong. The barn is wood frame with steel siding. Two cameras show four bars and two show two. One of the cameras showing two bars showed four bars yesterday. I may need to reposition the cameras. So … everything is still new. We’ll see.

This camera doesn't have a slot for a micro-SD card. This camera may be synced to a base station if you have already got one. the bottom station would have a slot for the micro-SD card or a usb port for Associate in Nursing drive and would record if the web is down.

 

 What happens to Ar-lo If power goes out? 

Your Ar-lo Security light-weight is mechanically reset to its default settings and operates in armed mode. Note: once the ability at your house is improved and your Ar-lo Bridge comes back online, your custom settings before you toughened an influence outage are enabled again.
