I needed a decent, lightweight point-and-shoot camera for my back country ski guide business to take photos of customers in action (and document any anomalies that might occur).
Due to the harsh cold and snow I don't want to invest in something too big or expensive - I accidentally dropped my old Pix Pro in a crack at the end of last season, it's gone forever but after two seasons and hundreds it's still working perfect. if not thousands of photos.
Anyway, I just bought a new . I like the price and the fact that it uses AA batteries. I can be gone for a week or more and just take two extra batteries with me, very easy.
The key to this camera is the best batteries available - I use Energizer brand lithium, not cheap but they last much, much longer in the Pix Pro than anything I've come across and aren't affected by the cold.
The quality of the photos is good enough for my purposes, which is basically something clients can post on their social media accounts and email to friends.
Make sure you adjust the settings to suit your needs, otherwise the camera will fall back to a default setting.
